The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs in India came up with an “Ease of Living Index” in 2018. It assessed 111 cities on four different parameters: Institutions, Infrastructure, Social and Economic.

The city that performed consistently in all four aspects was Pune. Tirupati, Chandigarh, Navi Mumbai and Greater Mumbai also appear among the top ten cities for different parameters.

India will add 416 million more people to global urban population by 2050. By that time, 58% of the world’s population will call India home.

It is now crucial for India to be prepared to provide high living standards to all people who will reside here now and in the near future.
